The First Ever Face Palm Award.

Normally, I like to have some humor in my posts. Especially, when it comes to politics.

But I just can't help but be annoyed right now.

I was reading Huffington Post and came across this gem about Texas State Representative Leo Berman (R) wants to pass a bill that requires future presidents and vice presidents to produce original birth certificates. This is an obvious jab at President Obama. (I really have no clue where this Republican rhetoric has come from.)

Instead of trying to pass legislation, Berman is trying to pass a "birther bill." So, let me get this straight: in a troubled economy, a ridiculous unemployment rate, two wars/conflicts, lack of healthcare, financial crises and other critical issues facing our country, one Representative is trying to pass a bill where future presidential and vice presidential candidates will have to show original birth certificates. In essence, we'd rather take jabs at our current president than actually getting to the root of real problems facing this country.

Instead of going on a tirade of how pointless this is for our country, I'm just going to skip it and present for the first time on The Cacc Attack, the FACE PALM AWARD*. This award is presented to idiotic people or companies that I find so moronic, I can't fathom the words to describe how asinine you truly are.

(*NOTE: I totally ripped off the Face Palm award from another blog that's escaping me at the moment. It might be Metal Sucks.)

Here's to you Texas State Representative Leo Berman (R). Congratulations on your Face Palm Award for trying to pass a bill that has nothing to do with progressing our country's interests.
